Checkups & Cleanings

Keeping your teeth healthy and strong begins with a solid, at-home oral hygiene routine, but it doesn’t stop there. To maintain your beautiful smile, the American Dental Association recommends that you visit the dentist for regular oral health exams and cleanings every six months. These appointments can help keep your teeth and gums healthy while removing harmful deposits of plaque that could put you at risk for gum disease, cavities, and discolored teeth.

CEREC 1 Visit Dental Crowns

Gone are the days when you had to wait weeks to get a dental crown back from the lab. Today, Vollo Dental Group is proud to offer CEREC 1 Visit Dental Crowns, which can be customized right here in the office while you wait. This means your dentist can repair and restore your tooth in just one appointment, saving you time and money and reducing your risk of further damage to your tooth.

Dental Implants

Are you missing one or more teeth? Dental implants are available in single, bridge, and denture form, and are the only permanent tooth replacement solution available today. These durable, lifelike prosthetics boast a 95% success rate, and because they permanently integrate with the jawbone, they can be used to enjoy a full diet, including many foods you may have had to give up due to tooth loss.

Emergency Dentistry

Dental emergencies can strike at any time, but many patients head to the emergency room expecting to get help and are turned away because most ERs aren’t equipped to handle this type of care. Don’t waste precious time and put your smile at further risk. Call us today for emergency dental care and we’ll get your pain free smile back!

Children’s Dentistry

A healthy, beautiful smile begins at birth, but many kids end up neglecting their oral health because they’re afraid of the dentist. At Vollo Dental Group, our friendly, caring dental team will make your child feel safe and comfortable during their treatments, so they’ll be more likely to care for their teeth and gums on their own, and they’ll be less likely to be scared to sit in the dental chair during their routine cleanings and exams.

Veneers

Would you like to transform multiple aspects of your smile in one convenient treatment? Veneers can change the shape, size, spacing, and color of your teeth and give you the gorgeous, glowing grin you’ve been dreaming of. To learn more about this incredible treatment and see if you’re a good candidate, schedule a consultation with your dentist today.

Dentures

Dentures can replace multiple or an entire arch of teeth and are ideal for patients on a tighter budget. They can be customized to match your existing teeth and gum tissue and restore your confidence while they restore your ability to eat, speak, and showcase a healthy-looking smile.

Frequently Asked Questions – Answered!

How do I get emergency dental care?

When seeking emergency dental care, your first step should always be to call Vollo Dental Group as soon as possible and let someone on our staff assist you. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 immediately.

Most hospital emergency rooms, mobile clinics, and urgent care centers aren’t equipped to handle dental emergencies, and thus if you go there first, you’re unlikely to be treated.

In most cases, we can accommodate same-day emergency appointments, but please call us directly so we can determine how quickly we can bring you in.

Please note that dental emergencies are often an indication of greater dental problems developing, and an important sign that it’s time to get back into the habit of regular, routine preventive dental care. This will not only save you time and money, but also your natural teeth!

How much does a dental check-up & cleaning cost in Irondequoit?

The cost of a dental check-up and cleaning can vary depending on a variety of factors, such as your individual oral health and your location.

Every check-up should begin with a review of your medical history and discussion of any questions or concerns you may have about your oral health. It should also include a thorough exam by your dentist, a professional cleaning, X-rays, and an oral cancer screening.

The average cost for this type of appointments here in the United States is between $200 and $350. If you have dental insurance, the fees for a checkup and cleaning (including any out-of-pocket co-pays) are negotiated with us by your dental insurance company.

How can I make a same-day appointment with a dentist?

The fastest and easiest way to make a same-day appointment is to call us directly. Sending an email will not get as fast of an answer. A phone call is also much more effective, as it allows us to better understand the situation and get you the best care as soon as possible.

The goal of a same-day appointment is typically to examine the problem, eliminate any cause of pain, and finalize a treatment plan. In some cases, more advanced treatment can be completed during a same-day appointment.

What level of education is required to be a dentist?

Here in the United States, all dentists must earn either a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or a Doctor of Dental Sciences (DDS) from one of the nation’s 67 accredited dental schools.

To be accepted into dental school, the student must first earn a bachelor's degree (and very high grades) in a major that’s heavy in both math and sciences.

Dental school is then an additional three or four years which combines classroom and hands-on learning.

Following dental school, many dentists choose to continue their education further by earning one of twelve specializations recognized by the American Dental Association, which require an additional three or more years of dental school training.

All dentists are then required to complete a certain number of continuing education hours to maintain their dental license.
